And this next sentence will probably make me sound like a, um, I don't know, a lame weirdo.  I got some colourful undergarments (undergarments? who says that? 1850s much?) just the other day. And since it is not deemed socially acceptable to run around showing your colourful patterned bra proudly to everyone you encounter on the street, I opted to wear a semi opaque top. That was my compromise.

Blue, Red, a Feather and some tunes.

Honnêtement, se rendre au travail une journée aussi ensoleillée et pleine de potentiel, c'est un peu difficile! Comment passer au dessus d'un tel fardeau inévitable? Porter des couleurs vives. Notamment le rouge (qui signifie la croissance et le soutiens ) avec le bleu (qui dégage un sentiment d'appartenance et de calme) ce qui a bien marcher pour moi (also was the first things at hand, so the whole colour meaning was just b.s. en passant).

De plus j'ai récemment trouver un sac pleins de bijoux qui s'était porté disparue depuis quelques années. Ce collier was purchased in a store/studio that worked primarely blown glass. With both a feather and zipper, how could I resist?

Moi qui essaye d'apprendre une nouvelle langue, je devrais mieux maîtriser le français tout dabords. Oui? nah.. j'me débrouille asser bien.. je pense.

Oh, Et mon lecteur Mp3 est arriver par la poste il y a deux deux jours. Enfin, de la musique pour inondée mon cerveau n'importe ou je me trouve.

[sew] Crop-Top Monday

I have a bin lying around my room overflowing with clothes put aside for modifying. And I never get around to doiin any of that. Well today out came this yellow Palm tree sweater.


I tend to "design" (if you can even call it that), as I go. I also have the bad habit of not bothering to measure things half the time. That one will be problematic with school courses I'm sure.

Anyway,






Not overjoyed with the result. I just really like the bright yellow!

[sew] Retirement of my old Machine

It may not look like much, but it served me well. Having only a simple straight stitch (with "special feature" being it could go in reverse), it's what let me get into sewing, and all the outputs of creations (and unwearable disastrous items as well)!

However came the time when the single stitch function either meant I had to do a lot more work to get to a final product, or simply didn't allow me to apply certain techniques (stretch, button holes, serged edges etc).

I got a new machine this past week. Super excited, and super motivated to make things! Ive been sewing daily (which hadn't been the case before). Hoping I can keep up the good habit and it isn't strictly due to the novelty of a new toy, followed by the danger of it wearing off.

Gotta say, OldStitcher was a pretty good looking. Nice colour, retro look, and sturdy (oh-so-heavy); whereas my new one looks part Beluga whale - part "Barbie`s My little sewing machine" due to the pink accents.

Don't get me wrong, I looove the new one.
Just a shame they didn't have it in lime green.
